How to remove yourself from PeopleConnect
Last checked October 14, 2026
PeopleConnect publishes names, addresses, phone numbers and relatives to anyone who searches. You can ask it to take your listing down. Here's exactly how, as of October 14, 2026.
- You'll need
- Email address
- How long
- PeopleConnect doesn't say.
- Can it come back?
- Partly. PeopleConnect says your name can still appear in phone, address or email reports, and that data inaccuracies can make it hard to remove everything.
Step by step
- Enter your email on the PeopleConnect Suppression Center and accept the terms.
- Open the verification link it emails you.
- Find your Background Report and choose to suppress it.
Good to know
- One suppression covers name searches on TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, Intelius and US Search. intelius.com/opt-out now redirects here.
- It does not cover Classmates.com, which PeopleConnect also owns.
- Free. Problems go to privacy@peopleconnect.us.
Then get it out of Google too
Opting out removes the listing from PeopleConnect, but Google can keep showing an old copy for a while. Google's Results about you tool lets you ask for those results to be dropped, and it can tell you when new ones appear.
How we checked this
We read the steps on PeopleConnect's own opt-out page on October 14, 2026. Anything we couldn't see there is marked as coming from other guides.
