Google Results about you: get your details out of search
Last checked October 14, 2026
Google's own tool for finding search results that show your home address, phone number or email address, and asking Google to drop them from search. It can also notify you when new ones turn up.
Open Google Results about you ↗
How it works
- Open Results about you while signed in to your Google account and press Get started.
- Enter your name and the contact details you want Google to look for. You can add nicknames, a maiden name and several phone numbers, addresses and emails.
- Turn on notifications if you want to hear about new matches.
- Go through the To review tab and request removal of each result you want gone.
- Follow the status of each request (In progress, Approved, Denied) under Removal requests.
What it won't do
- It only removes the result from Google Search. The page itself stays up on the site until you opt out there too.
- Google won't remove results from government, educational or news sites, or business websites, which it treats as valuable to the public.
- Google says some features are still rolling out, for adults in certain markets.
Use it as the last step after each opt-out, not the first. Getting a result out of Google while the page is still live on Spokeo or Whitepages only hides it from one search engine. Start with Spokeo and Whitepages, then clean up what's left in Google.
